VPN-Free, Zero Trust Networking
KEO’s Network Transformation

Obstacle
KEO struggled with an outdated global network reliant on costly MPLS circuits and VPNs, which lacked modern security and agility. As they expanded their cloud presence in Europe, KEO required a scalable, secure solution to connect employees across various locations while reducing costs and improving performance. The challenge was finding a VPN replacement that would ease management for all stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
Opportunity
KEO partnered with NetFoundry to adopt its Zero Trust Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform, replacing traditional networking with a software-defined, cloud-native solution. This enabled secure, micro-segmented connections across endpoints and Azure, using private AppNets instead of VPNs. This would improve operational efficiency and reduce the costs compared to MPLS circuits. The new unified global environment based on zero trust principles would provide the highest level of security all while supporting future cloud and digital transformation initiatives.
Outcome
KEO transformed its global network using the NetFoundry Cloud platform and AppNets, allowing for rapid deployment of secure networks in minutes. This NaaS model reduced network costs by over 50%, minimized setup time, and supported a dispersed workforce with seamless “Work from Anywhere” initiatives. Enhanced by zero trust architecture, KEO improved operational efficiency by approximately 60% and strengthened security against cyber threats, showcasing the effectiveness of cloud-native orchestration in managing high-performance networks globally.
